If you’re interested in piano lessons in Monroe Township, NJ, I’d love to hear from you. Students from Applegarth, Half Acre, Hoffman, and other local neighborhoods are welcome in my studio, and I’m happy to teach beginners, advanced pianists, young kids, and adults. I’m the music director at First Presbyterian Church in Freehold, and I’ve been teaching private music lessons for decades, so I’m happy to help students from all backgrounds and with all manner of musical aspirations. My Studio Location and Teaching Radius
My piano studio is located in Freehold NJ, about 15 minutes east of Monroe Township. My students from the Monroe Twp area often drive straight over on Buckelew Ave. I also travel to student homes from time to time, so if you are interested in at-home lessons, please let me know! We can find a potential time in our schedules to arrange a lesson.
In lessons, you will enjoy playing on a professional acoustic piano. I don’t require students to have any particular kind of piano at home, but I do recommend having at least an 88-key keyboard (digital or acoustic) with weighted keys. You are welcome to contact me with questions about pianos and digital keyboards.

Helping Adults Play The Piano
I enjoy working with adults - I’ve helped young professionals, busy parents, and retired folks reach their goals on the keyboard. If you are a beginner, we’ll tackle note reading, keyboard technique, playing by ear, and all of the basics. I am also happy to tailor lessons to your specific goals. If you have some experience, we can pick up right where you left off, and we can work on challenging repertoire like Prokofiev, Bartok, or any other composer if you would like to.
Additionally, I’ve helped a number of adults learn how to “double” on the organ. Many pianists have an interest in organ, and I can help you learn to play this magnificent instrument.
Piano Lessons For Kids in Monroe Township
I enjoy helping children and teens learn to play the piano or build on their prior experience. I will use methods (like Faber or Alfred) to help guide their learning in a structured manner, but I also know graded piano repertoire and other techniques deeply. I never simply walk a young student through a method - we pursue a fun and holistic music education at the piano.
We’ll learn landmark notes like C, F, and G, work on technique, practice reading music on the staff, and learn to improvise and play by ear. I’m always happy to use a student’s favorite songs in lessons. If you’d like more information about enrolling your child in piano lessons, let me know!
